Participants will examine the underlying dynamics that increase vulnerability, including:
Trauma and adverse childhood experiences
Family instability and unmet basic needs
Online exposure, grooming, and digital risks
Risk Factors: Conditions that elevate vulnerability to exploitation
Warning Signs: Behavioral, physical, and situational indicators of potential trafficking
Grooming Tactics: How exploiters build trust and exert control, both in-person and online
Participants will leave with actionable tools to:
Recognize early red flags in youth
Respond using trauma-informed approaches that prioritize safety and dignity
Engage appropriately without escalating risk
Understand when and how to escalate concerns
Giving a Biblical Understanding of Human Trafficking and Spiritual Warfare
The training emphasizes:
Strengthening protective factors (trusted relationships, stability, supervision)
Early intervention before exploitation occurs
Creating safer environments within church and community settings
Participants will be better prepared to:
Identify at-risk youth
Intervene responsibly and safely
Contribute to more stable, supportive environments that reduce the likelihood of exploitation
